S. Bradley Mell, President:
As the firm’s owner, W. H. Mell’s customers are Brad’s primary focus. Continuing in his father’s tradition, he has solidified the firm’s emphasis on special situation municipal securities trading in the secondary market.
Three years after joining the firm in 1992, Brad became W. H. Mell’s President and Chief Executive Officer. A 1988 graduate of Boston University with a B.A. in Psychology, Brad maintains Series 7, 24, 52, 53 and 63 registrations.
Ryan K. Posner, Executive Vice President:
Ryan joined the firm in 1993 as a Municipal Bond Analyst, establishing the firm’s strong commitment to research. As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Ryan has realized one of the industry’s most respected designations. Ryan brought his expertise to the trading side of the business in 1995 .
Ryan earned a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University SUNY in 1987 and an MBA in 1991 from Boston University, Ryan maintains Series 52, 53, 7, 24, 57 and 63 registrations.
Andrew C. Fialko, Senior Vice President Municipal Sales:
Working one on one with each customer, Andrew manages over 300 retail and adviser relationships. On a continuous basis, Andrew monitors client portfolios for market shifts and ensuing structure needs. Entering the municipal business in 1992 as a broker’s broker with Chapdelaine & Company, Andrew joined W. H. Mell in 1999. Over the last decade, he has worked diligently to build the firm’s retail client group. A 1992 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Andrew maintains Series 7 and 63 registrations and is a registered Agent in 30 states.
John A. Simpson, Vice President Sales:
John manages retail and adviser relationships to find value suitable to each client’s unique investment needs. Entering the municipal business in 1996 as a broker’s broker with J. F. Hartfield, John joined W. H. Mell in 1998. A 1996 graduate of Hobart College, John maintains Series 7 and 63 registrations.
Christopher Clackner, Vice President Municipal Sales:
As a specialist in municipal sales to sophisticated Institutional clients, Christopher carefully listens to his clients and follows market news to aid in accomplishing their specific goals. Christopher started in international money brokering in 1982 with London based Noonan Astley and Pearce. At Noonan his focus was on market analysis, economics and Fed watching. He brought his expertise and experience to W. H. Mell in 1996. Christopher maintains Series 52 and 63 registrations.
Lisa Brown, Executive Director of Operations:
Joining W. H. Mell in 1994, Lisa continues to demonstrate a competence in matters regarding administration and compliance. Lisa has a practical working knowledge of the rules, regulations and operational requirements directly impacting the municipal market. Earning a BBA from the George Washington University and an MBA from Temple University, Lisa holds a Series 7 registration.
Diane Fredricks, Operations Manager:
With over 25 years experience in clearing and operations, Diane is among the most experienced, efficient, dedicated and reliable employees with the firm. In an environment rife with regulatory and operational challenges, Diane has the experience and expertise to solve the most challenging back office dilemmas.
Diane joined W. H. Mell Associates in 1997 after twelve years in Operations with Lasser Marshall, Inc.
